Only students who study English as their major or minor subject in the University of Jyväskylä can be members of Magna Carta.

In the future, Magna Carta’s memberships and event tickets will be found in one place: Kide.app. The system automatically verifies the validity of memberships, making it easier to purchase event tickets at member price. As a member of our association, you can easily edit your user account or membership-related information on Kide.app in the “My Account” section, as well as through the membership card in the Kide.app wallet. In the future, membership can be proven by showing either the Kide.app membership card or Magna Carta’s membership sticker.

When purchasing a membership, you can choose whether you want to join Magna’s official mailing list. The list provides information about Magna Carta ry’s events, study-related updates, and other useful content. Note! You can only join the list with an active jyu.fi email address.

As an existing member, you can activate your membership for free. Please go to Kide.app, create a username or log in with your existing credentials, and activate your membership through the following links:

If you started your studies before 2019, still have a valid right to study, and wish to become a member, please contact the person responsible for the membership register at venla.a.a.kallioniemi@student.jyu.fi

Membership cannot be used immediately after purchase; it will remain pending activation. The membership will be activated once the board has approved your application in a board meeting. The board meets once a month during the academic year, so please note that activation may be delayed.
