Enrolling in an event binds you to the following terms. Rules for enrolling are binding policies of Magna Carta.

Enrolling

• Unless mentioned, one cannot enter Magna Carta’s events without an entry fee and/or enrolling in the event.
• In enrolling, one commits to paying the stated entrance fee to the bank account designated by the date the payment is stated due.
• In cases where the enrollee is in line for a spot in the event, the enrolment is still binding. If the enrollee does not fit in the quota, they are not committed to pay the entrance fee.

The bindingness of enrolment

• If the enrollee themselves cannot participate in the event, they are permitted to sell their ticket. In that case, it is the seller’s responsibility to relay the payment instructions to the buyer. If the payment is overdue, the consequences fall on the original enrollee. The original enrollee is also liable to inform the treasurer and person in charge to whom they have sold their ticket. The enrollee is in charge of the reselling and they can determine the price themselves, as long as the correct amount will be paid to Magna Carta.
• If one fails to pay the entrance fee, they are declined participation in Magna Carta’s events until the fee and possible fines are discharged. They are also responsible for notifying the treasurer of the payment.

Payment reminders

• If the payment is not registered in 14 days after the due date, a reminder will be sent.
• If the payment is not paid 28 days over the due date spite of sending a reminder, a second reminder and a 5 euro fee for late payment will follow (in addition to the original entrance fee).

By enrolling to Magna Carta's event you accept the following rules:

• Everyone is equal in our events so treat each participant accordingly.

• It’s good to have a sense of humour and be yourself. However, you shouldn’t let your actions bother other participants in the event and ruin their event experience. 
  • If your actions are bothering other participants, the organisers have the right to remove you from the event.

• Do not take pictures or record audio or video in our events without permission from the people in the recording. The recorded material may not be published in social media without the permission from everyone appearing in the material.

• The use of alcohol is not mandatory in any of our events. Do not pressure anyone into drinking alcohol. 

• Any kind of bullying, harassment or discrimination will not be tolerated. Each case is taken seriously and will be acted upon.

• Events organised by Magna Carta ry adhere to the rules and instructions set by JYY and The University of Jyväskylä in regard to safety and equality. 

Magna Carta ry follows JYY's principles of safer space to make Magna's activities safer for everyone. Everybody has the right to feel safe without fear of being discriminated or harassment. The following principles bind all participants of Magna's activities and events. Please contact Magna's trusted persons or equality representative if you feel that these principles have been breached. 

Be open and strive to understand each other. Face new subjects and persons without prejudice. Let’s take new situations as an opportunity to learn something new and let’s encourage each other to grow and improve. Assume that others have good intentions. 

Aim to avoid assumptions and to recognize our own presumptions, so they wouldn’t affect how we meet other people. Let’s also recognize our privileges and social positions. 

Avoid discriminative and excluding language.Everyone has the right to be treated equally and not to be discriminated against. Don’t mock, defame or exclude with your speech, behaviour or actions. 

Respect each other and everyone’s personal psychical and physical space. Ask more space for yourself if needed. Don’t harass others verbally, with physical touch or for example by staring. 

Bring up difficult subjects and situations.If you see harassment or other kind of inappropriate behaviour, try to intervene. Be open to listen and to grow. Apologize, if you have offended others. Let’s also remember that it’s human nature to make mistakes. 

Let’s be aware of physical and psychological accessibility in our activities,so everyone has the same opportunity to take part in JYY’s activities. Let’s strive to find the best possible space for events with this in mind. Let’s support and make possible for everyone to participate and be heard for example by clearing up difficult terms and concepts
